Irish Cottage Inn & Suites: A Romantic Getaway for Couples in Galena

Why consider it for your weekend

Its Irish-inspired interiors, library lounge and on-site pub give couples several ways to spend time at the property, while the downtown shuttle provides a connection to Main Street. It is a useful choice when the aim is a comfortable escape with dining and entertainment close by rather than a highly formal luxury stay.

The stay

Irish Cottage Inn & Suites offers a Galena weekend with an informal, sociable character.

A Traditional King is the straightforward room option for two adults. Couples who want a private Jacuzzi tub should compare the specifically named category or an appropriate suite instead of assuming that the standard room includes one. The official accommodation list distinguishes several layouts, and booking platforms may use different labels. Match the desired feature to the exact room description and photographs before paying.

Frank O'Dowd's Irish Pub & Grill can provide the focus for an evening, with live entertainment scheduled on selected nights. Breakfast, shared pool and hot-tub facilities, and quiet time in the library add to the weekend rhythm. Confirm the current shuttle, tea and entertainment arrangements so that the stay works around your actual dates. Optional upgrades and any service charges should be included in the final comparison.

For two nights, consider an easy first dinner, a Saturday visit to Galena's historic center and a return for music or a quiet drink. Couples who enjoy a friendly shared atmosphere may appreciate the convenience. If your priority is complete seclusion, discuss room placement and event schedules before booking, since this is an operating hotel and pub rather than a private cottage rental.

A Traditional King does not automatically include a Jacuzzi tub or fireplace. Select the named upgraded category and confirm platform-to-hotel room naming. Pool and main hot tub are shared.

Planning estimate, not a weekend quote

Expedia displayed $126 for one night for two adults on 2026-10-21, as of 2026-10-19, including its displayed taxes and fees. Two-night arithmetic reference: 126 x 2 = 252. Add an editorial 10% reserve (25.2) and round up to $25 = 300. The reserve is not an observed weekend surcharge. A second night, Friday-Sunday stay and upgraded room were not quoted. Verify every mandatory charge at checkout.

Accommodation for two adults for two nights. Meals, parking, transport, spa treatments and optional activities excluded unless the selected rate explicitly includes them. Peak weekends and upgraded rooms can exceed this budget.
